HEAVY METAL PLANTER

Personal, Furniture Design

A Metal Planter made from cold rolled steel. Plasma cut and bent to create niches for all the succulents of your dreams. Some assembly required, but it's made easy by custom key-locked ends which slot together. Custom welded, polished with 1200 grit sandpaper, and finished with clear polyurethane. There's no better instrument to stack your beloved plants high and show them off!

Custom Speaker Stands Made for RJ

Why use typical mdf speaker stands? Celebrate them with solid MDF plinths clad in 22 Gauge Steel. Stitched closed via wetting and MIG welding. Plasma cut edges. Burnished with black magic patina and dip-rusted with my special formula to give that lived in feel. And of course, made so that there is no resonance inside the shell.

A custom shelf made for RJ

Curly maple wood was rescued from storm damage, cnc milled, finished, and embellished with steel arms to create an operable shelf. With wire rack pedestal, adjustable mirror, draining basket, brass hardware, carriage bolts and linen rack. Hangs from two wall mounts.

Structural Systems

Model constructed to better understand great structural systems at work, the eMPAC at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute designed by Grimshaw was chosen as a case study. Reduced to its structural armature, the building's skeleton was investigated and modeled to scale.
